Web App Android iOS

This privacy policy applies to all Zenkasu platforms: the web application, Android mobile app, and iOS mobile app.

Client-Side Application

Zenkasu is a client-side application across all platforms. All your collection data is stored exclusively on your device unless you explicitly turn on Cloud Backup (see below).

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your collection data on any platform. Your information remains completely private and under your control — including when Cloud Backup is enabled, since that data goes directly to your own Google account, not to us.

Cloud Backup (Android, Pro feature)

By default, Zenkasu does not sync your data anywhere — data remains exclusively on the device where you created it. If you're a Pro user and choose to turn on Cloud Backup, your collection is uploaded directly to your own Google Drive account using Google's Drive API. This backup is never sent to or stored on Zenkasu's servers — we don't operate any servers that receive your collection data, and we have no access to your Google Drive. You can disable Cloud Backup or delete the backup file from your Google Drive at any time. To transfer data between devices without Cloud Backup, use the CSV export and import features instead.

No Account Required

The application does not require user accounts, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal information on any platform. Use the app completely anonymously.

Storage (for CSV import/export, Pro feature)
Camera (optional - for photographing coins)
Google Drive access (optional - only if you enable Cloud Backup, a Pro feature; backups are stored in your own Google account)

iOS App

Photos (for saving/loading coin images)
Camera (optional - for photographing coins)
Files (for CSV import/export)

All permissions are used solely for the functionality described and only when you explicitly use those features.

Data Portability

You can export your entire collection as a CSV file at any time from any platform. This file contains all your data and can be imported into any other Zenkasu app or used with other software.

Data Security

Since your data stays on your device (or, if you enable Cloud Backup, in your own Google Drive account) and never passes through Zenkasu's servers, the security of your collection data is determined by your device's and Google account's security settings. We recommend:

Regular CSV backups exported to secure storage
Using device encryption and lock screen protection
Keeping your operating system updated

Children's Privacy

Zenkasu does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app can be safely used by collectors of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top. Changes will be posted on this page.
